ACCEPTANCE SURRENDER HUMILITY & Oneness

ACCEPTANCE --> SURRENDER --> HUMILITY --> LOSS OF IDENTITY --> ONENESS
Humility also results from acceptance - acceptance that is the result of surrender. Surrender is not a slavish subjugation of oneself; it is the result of yet another realization related to the immense possibilities in all realms of life!

Of the immense possibilities of life here and hereafter!
Of light being dark and darkness being bright even!
Of matter being spirit and spirit being matter too!
Of God being man and man being God too!
Of your kennel being an angel and the angel being your pet too!
Of the most discomforting truth being the blessing and the blessing being the most perplexing thing too!
Of the changing scenarios and diametrically shifting viewpoints!
Of eloquent silence and shunning verbosity!

Yes, then and there, one accepts the meaninglessness of all differences and stops the insistence or tenacity to hold on to one's own view as the absolute truth that is infallible. Very aptly one silently and sweetly accepts all contradictions, and starts to enjoy it too! What has been a bitter potion till the previous moment becomes as sweet as honey NOW!

In such a moment one's relationship with the whole universe changes into an overwhelming love for each and every thing around! It is the Divine manifesting in oneself as well as each and every iota around one! What a pleasant experience to have! What a beauty is there in surrender that is equivalent to merger! What an ecstasy is there in accepting defeat (as till the previous moment, accepting the other viewpoint has been nothing less than defeat)!

And as the process goes on, everything fades into the Divine – your clinging on to the known, the knowledge, the act of knowing, the search to know, etc. For, you become "aware" of a higher "reality" that you need not know anything! And that you cannot know anything! And that knowing is nothing! IT IS JUST BEING! Like the floating feather fading in and merging in and with the wind! Yes, it is not that you "know" of a higher reality, but you "live" a higher reality wherein "you" are just any other person too! Pretty different from mere knowing! Not an exercise of the intellect, reason or mind!

Then what is identity? Where is the need for identity? Of what relevance is difference in perspectives when "difference" has no meaning?

ACCEPTANCE --> SURRENDER --> HUMILITY --> LOSS OF IDENTITY --> ONENESS

And it all happens with such ease and grace as a flower blossoms in the spring! And the soul is filled with the sweet song of eternal love-bliss-joy! And what else is being sung by all the blessed angels here, though at one level ( again, an illusion), there appears to be lot of differences in concepts, views, opinions, feelings, attitudes, postulates, practices etc.!

Eagerly drinking from the supreme reservoir of honey around..

If you want a new life, you have to give a new response to life. Discover the divine within you.

Contemplative Questions

Here is a set of questions that would provoke you and put you through some soul searching. They are not about religion nor about ethics. They are merely about you.

They are not meant to serve as solutions nor are they meant to lead you anywhere. These questions are meant to serve as tools to discovering yourself.

1) Do you perceive the Presence of a benevolent force guiding, protecting and shaping your life? What name do you give that Presence? When did you best feel this Presence?

2) What is your opinion of God? Is your opinion drawn from religion, books, parents and or your personal experience of life?

3) Do you pray? Do they get answered? How often?

4) Do you think it is possible to relate to the Divine? What relationship would you opt?

5) Here is a story for you - Two fierce enemies once did a penance to placate god and receive boons vying with each other. God appeared to the first man and asked what he wanted. He said "give me twice of whatever you give my enemy". Then God appeared to the second one. Even before God could say anything he asked, "God, would you please tell me what my enemy asked for? On knowing his prayer request, he said, "then God, blind me in one eye."
Now what would you wish for yourself, your best friend and your worst enemy if God gave you a chance?

6) Have you ever experienced a coincidence or chance that seems to have involved so many people and factors that you can't stop wondering if a mastermind was behind this operation? If yes, do you savour the experience often and have you shared it with someone close to you?
