Bhagavan says What is Life after Death?

Bhagavan says:

See when you die, the most fun part happens, is you do not get to know yourself that you are no more. The moment you know this, is when you start touching something and your hands could not sense it. There You come to know that “Yes, I am no more’. Then the initial process starts. For the first 3 days you live in your house seeing all the custom are been followed properly, which in other words is your Clearance Certificate to move into further processes. Then after 3 days your Journey starts towards stars and sky world., where you are taken upper world. Once you reached properly in astral world, first ones to welcome you can be your ancestors or your family people(if they have died) or if no one, then your teacher or your GOD(whom u used to worship). They will tell you about an overview of space world. They will be with you for some time. It seems like you are in amusement park. You are fulfilled with your wish of eating NON VEG/ DRINKS or seeing ladies dancing (everything is available) as per your desire. Females even beautiful than Aishwarya Rai there.

Then the times when your life's outstanding performance is reviewed. So you will be sitting in front of a big Screen where in your entire LIFE CYCLE is rotated start to end. The time is 3 MIN as per the space or astral CLOCK = your entire LIFE TIME as per your earth CLOCK. Things you did, will be shown and the reel of the picture will be very very fast in all the GOOD work/ KARMA you did. The REEL stops at your BAD work/ KARMA.

Then you will be made to put your foot in the other person’s footwear, with whom you did BAD work or said BAD WORDS or made them sad– so that you should experience that hurt. Likewise for each bad Karma you are made to Experience it. Say like : If you have hurt somebody with bad words, you are made to feel that hurt with the same BAD WORD, to make you experience how it actually feels, in real terms.

After this play is over, you are been asked with 2 options a) REBIRTH - with undergoing again more OF MORE PAIN OR b) MOKSHA – Free from all births. If Moksha it feels ok (which few number of people say), but because you are the better JUDGE for yourself ……most say Rebirth – so that whatever we did BAD during this birth we will experience Suffer it in Next Birth. Then you are  taken to different PAIN CENTRES like for HINDU - you will be continuously thrown where you wash clothes. So your BODY PARTS smashed and joined automatically, then the same thing again. For MUSLIM – you are thrown on a BLADE where entire BODY parts CUT into Parts. Joint automatically, then the same thing again. For CHRISTIAN- Your Body is put into HOT ROAST. Then the same procedure. So all are equally very bad. After all this process (depending on your culture religion)…. You are made to watch your next Birth body with its different characteristics and qualities with its fate and destiny. That’s how it goes

Sri Bhagavan Teaching On How Do We Experience Pain

Namaste Amma bhagvan Sharnam
If there is pain and you really experience the hurt the other person it would stop hurting you. You could do this and see. With your doing you are only speculating. Therefore you never do it. So please do it and discover for yourself what happens.

Suppose a tiger were to be chasing you and there is fear and you experience that fear - you know what will happen? The tiger will stop dead in its tracks. It won`t pounce on you.
That`s why Ramana or somebody else can actually play with tigers but if you go and play you would end up in the tigers belly. But Ramana - when he used to go for walks [he] used to tell his followers to keep a distance because he could have touched tigers, leopards, snakes and nothing would happen. Because he has got no fear. But seeing that if you would go it is dangerous. With you the same tiger would respond differently. So, you do it then you see what happens. The Angulimala was helpless before the Buddha. People used to be terror sick [terrified] the moment they even heard the name Angulimala - you know. But Angulimala was helpless when the Buddha came face to face. So the Buddha has no fear. So you do it and see what happens. With these things must be done - you know. There`s no point in thinking about them or speculating. That`s no use. This is not a kind of dharma talk. This is a do-it-yourself dharma. Do it and see.

Sri Bhagavan Video Teachings Youtube Collection

Sri Bhagavan Video Teachings youtube collection.
Here is some list teachings collection video's, most of them are from youtube.

Comparing Ourselves with Others;
Sri Bhagavan shares why we compare ourselves to others, how acceptance is what liberates us and how to arrive at acceptance.
Comparison is essentially sourced in non-acceptance of one's life, parents, body, capabilities or thoughts and emotions.

In resisting the fact and trying to be something that you are not, you suffer from destructive emotions like anger, jealously, hatred, frustration which in turn leads to failure of intelligence.
All problems rise with the failure of intelligence. It is acceptance that liberates you and how does one arrive at acceptance? It is not about understanding, explaining or justifying the situation, but to experience the pain behind it.
As you experience the unresolved emotions that are attached to the situation, all resistance dissolves and you naturally embrace the fact.
This inner acceptance leads to awakening of intelligence and the inferiority complex would naturally disappear.
Time for Reflection:
On what basis, do you compare with others?
Do you suffer from inferiority or superiority complex?
What are your compulsive responses?
Hold a prayer in your heart that you must be blessed with inner acceptance.

Sri Bhagavan - What Happens When One is Not Integral?

Question: Bhagavan, what generally happens when one is not integral? Is there a technique that will help?
Answer: Negative emotions basically arise because of a lack of inner integrity. When we are running away from ourselves, when we are unable to confront what is going on inside, we tend to hide certain things from ourselves which in turn leads to negative thoughts.
Now how to realize or experience these negative thoughts is you have to watch the process of naming. If you stop the process of naming you would instantly be free of all negativity.
The problem is with regard to naming it.
Now suppose a child were to look at a tree. The child would not call it a tree. He would not say it is a coconut tree or an apple tree or make further comments. He merely experiences the tree.
But the problem with adults is you name the tree. If you name it as a negative thought, you are in real trouble. But if you stop naming it, it's just a thought like any other thought. There is no difference between a positive thought and a negative thought except in the naming this a positive thought and this is a negative thought.
If you would watch this process of naming, the naming would stop. When naming stops there is no problem at all.

Living In Bliss With Music Shri Bhagavan's Youtube Video's Online

When our heart flowers, we discover a love that is unconditional. This love is not different from joy or peace. Oneness Blessing is divine energy that opens our heart. As our heart flowers we would begin experience causeless love and joy. Then it does not matter what life throws up; there is joy!
Shri Bhagavan's 'Nayana Deeksha', Youtube Video

The awakened realizes that it is not his/her mind but the collective ancient mind flowing through and hence is aware of the futility of change. This insight unfurls an entirely new experience of living and being. He or she no longer struggles but rather has befriended in the mind.

Sri Bhagavan's New Year (2010) Message !

Dear FRIENDS,

Of all the battles ever fought by man,the battle against himself has been the most arduous.
The mind with its contents - fear, jealousy, guilt, boredom etc is divisive in nature. It is divided as the good and bad;the sacred and the profane and is trying to evade the other. That's the struggle all about. The awakened realizes that it is not his/her mind but the collective ancient mind flowing through and hence is aware of the futility of change. This insight unfurls an entirely new experience of living and being. He or she no longer struggles but rather has befriended the mind. Awakening is not a destination it is a journey.Cessation of personal suffering is a milestone
on this ongoing journey in consciousness. The rest unfolds, growth continues to happen. The energy available manifests as attention to the other, love in relationships, as efficiency and creativity in work. You, in short move from existence to living.

Letting go of the need to control is.... surrender.
Letting of the hurt is... forgiveness.
Letting go of the resistance is... acceptance.
Letting go of the possession is... love.

To let go again requires ... Grace
Let us begin this New Year by seeking Grace to... let go.

Happy New Year 2010

Sri Bhagavan Video Conference Youtube Online

Every one of us will have success stories as a part of our life journey. Similarly in Oneness, as a part of your inward journey (journey towards god), you might have undergone change in your behavior or character or attitude or mindset or way of approach. In a nut shell, there might be a drastic change in your personality after coming to Oneness.

Now Oneness Guides are eager to know such real life stories from each and every one of us.They are documenting such transformation stories from devotees, course participants, sevaks etc..

Please report your real life transformation stories in the aspect of personality (not miracles). Please report such stories as soon as you read this as we will post those stories as soon as possible.

Please report your transformation stories with the following elements:
  1. What kind of transformation your personality had undergone after coming to Oneness?
  2. How did you undergo this? (which sadhana/teaching helped you?)
  3. Before coming to Oneness how was your personality?

Q:Some people when trying to experience the pain, it seems that they are only analyzing it, not experiencing it. How to sit with the problem without analysis being triggered? What should we do to get out of the mind and go deeper inside the heart?

Bhagavan: Yes.. see, the problem with humanity, and especially modern civilization, is we have stopped experiencing things. We hardly experience anything, leave alone suffering. Nothing is being experienced. When you drink a glass of water, you're not experiencing it. The mind is still working. You think about what happened yesterday, what's going to happen tomorrow, you're worrying about something or enjoying something, but not experiencing that drinking of the glass of water. While you eat, you do not experience what you're eating. When you brush your teeth, you do not experience what is going on.

Sri Bhagavan Questions & Answers Online

Here are some greatest questions answered by Sri Bhagavan to Sao Paulo, Brazil
December 19, 2009

Broadcast with Bhagavan - Brazil on 19-12-2009

(There is no recorded video or audio for this broadcast.)

Q1: How can I find and fulfill the mission, the purpose of my life?

A1: It is very important for people to discover their life purpose. What happens is that you do not have clarity and you also use your head to think and discover your purpose in life. You might think there is no harm in that. But even if you do not think there can be more clarity, you should take inside yourself: I do not have clarity. And just stay with it. You should not move out of it. And then, from the bottom of your being, you know exactly what is the mission and purpose of your life.

For example, when Gandhi was alive and moving around the country, he did not know how to make India independent. What to do? The British were a tremendous force. And it was not by violence. And he did not know what to do. So he just sat with the truth of that: I do not know. And in a few months, until a given day, suddenly, the thought came to him, we should boycott the British salt. This was a very funny idea. It was a great empire, and become free of that empire? Boycotting the salt. And he thought: yes, that's it. He began playing the mission, and soon billions joined him. And finally we became independent.

This idea is not something we can conceive. What we think about. No. You just get the fact: I do not know. Then suddenly, deep truth, it comes. This happens to any individual, because if you keep quiet, a huge processing occurs inside. If you keep thinking and fighting, you destroy this process. If you just stay quiet, just put this input: I do not know, I wonder - do it, and wait.

Just stay quiet. Sometimes the land must be untouched for a while before you begin to grow something new. So it becomes nourished. Likewise, you must be quiet, quiet activity, not indifferent or asleep. Just stay with the fact that you do not know. You must be intensely aware of it, then it comes. You bring it to light, and if you follow this, you will never, can never fail. So this is how you will discover your purpose in life.

Q2: Sometimes there is a conflict within me, use more of my time to help others grow in consciousness, or use more of my time to earn more money to survive and get a more comfortable life. How could I have a balance between the mundane and spiritual?

A2: Well, suppose you have some work to do, and while you're hungry. The best thing would be to eat first, and then do the job. Similarly, you have needs of self. It is more appropriate to first meet your needs before you get to help others. It is very natural, right and proper fit your needs.

If you do not, then what you do after is what is called: because ?? cultivated. Virtue must be something natural, not cultivated. That is why in Oneness we say, if you are not enlightened, do not behave like this. When you're not awake, do not behave like you are. You have your needs, then why should you focus on other people? It will not work. Your being must be expressed, and your hunger to be filled. And the most curious thing is that you will find that after you have completed your requirements, you will have a natural desire to help others. Not that you force yourself, or something that is contrived, not that you apply or use your willpower, no. Naturally you're going to help others. This is the moment when you will help others. And you become selfless.

Until then, be self-centered. Being self-centered is not wrong. The only thing is that the ego expresses itself in very dangerous ways, it means that you should not be self-centered (acting for your own benefit). You may sometimes think I am expressing myself, but this cannot be self-interest. That's what you should be careful. There is nothing wrong with expressing yourself and also going to help others on the spiritual path, because you feel so fulfilled. This longing is gone, you go to the next step, and your spirit begins to grow. But never deplete your being, and go help others. You're in big trouble sooner or later if you do. So, please, express yourselves. source

Quote From Bhagavan Living In The Present

A beautiful quote from Bhagavan--Living In The Present

"An enlightened one does not suffer because he is constantly living in the present, experiencing every bit of what life is offering him. But for those who are unenlightened, life itself is reduced to nothing but suffering.
To be aware is to be enlightened. The whole purpose of life itself is to live life moment to moment."

We have to be with the present but not thinking about the past or future.
If we keep dwelling about the painful incidents in the past, the same will repeat in future
if we keep thinking about future, it will lead to fear, being with present = being in the presence of amma bhagavan.

it will do samskara shuddhi and remove all mental blocks, traumas etc.
it improves concentration, memory power and awakens intelligence put your attention on what your doing right now, if your not doing any work, put your attention on the body, breathing etc.

Effects of seva & Miracle By Sri Bhagvan

Miracle shared by one more devotee, This is perfect example of Effects of seva for all other devotees,and sevaks, Thank you Bhagavan;

This is Nitesh.N from Chennai (India). I'm in Dharma for the past nine years. Though I know Bhagavan for the past nine years I didn't have faith on him and that came only when I attended Maha Deekhsa (Seven step process) on the May'09. And from then, there is a lot miracles happening in my day to day life internally as well as externally. But I would like to share a great miracle which happened yesterday (16th June'09) night.

As I mentioned earlier now I have started believing in Bhagavan, as a result I started doing seva. I just can't say, I'm a great sevak but then I can surely say I contributed just 0.5% of my time for seva.

Well, I'm now working as a Conference Coordinator in a MNC Company. And I took two months leave for my exams so didn't get my salary properly. I was in real need of Rs2000 yesterday and I just prayed Bhagavan like this " Bhagavan, I don't know what you are goanna do and its your duty that you should give me 2000 or you should help by showing the way to get the money". Later in the evening when I was about to start my prayer I received a message from ICICI bank stating your account has been credited and your total available balance is Rs : 8500. And there was a reason for the amount stated which LTA & Medical reimbursement. But actually when I called my HR, she informed me that the amount will credited only in the month of October and also I'm not eligible for that amount.

Bhagavan, Thank you so much I just don’t know what else I can use to praise you.

Thank you Bhagavan. I LOVE YOU;

If you too have such miracles to share with us, do mail back.

Keeping a Good Relationship With Parents Bhagvan Says

Acceptance is the Important factor in Relationships
Bhagavan, what is the most important factor in keeping a good relationship with one’s parents?

Bhagavan:
The basic thing you must know is that whatever they, as parents, have done to you, whatever you do not approve of, was not that they did wilfully; they were made to do those things because they were being controlled by several factors. You must realize that you are nothing but robots.

You are a robot and your parent is a robot. If you can see that, you wouldn’t blame them at all. The way they behave with you would depend on what happened while they were in their mother’s womb, their fundamental childhood decisions, past life vasanas, later day conditioning etc.

If you realize this, then would come acceptance, then would come love and the relationship falls into order. Once the relationship falls into order, everything else falls into order.

Overcome Big Obstacles that Appear Near Success

Are there times when it almost seems like you are finally going to reach your goal, but then something shows up in the way and puts it out of reach once again or makes you feel that you are never going to get it? The truth is you are never closer to your dreams than when you are facing a big obstacle that threatens to push you further away than ever before. The reason why that obstacle shows up is because you are just about to grasp what you really want at last.

Just when you thought that the way is finally open for you, just when you thought you are finally getting your breakthrough. Then what you experience next causes you to be disappointed once again. Because the results that got is far less than what you expected. Or things might even appear worse in some ways than before. It can put you into such distress and frustration because you don’t know what else to do to make it work.

The reason why darkness appear, is to allow you to experience the light even more. You can’t feel like light when you are surrounded by light. The time you never felt more like light is when you are in the midst of darkness. Opposites make each other. Light and darkness define each other. Success and failure define each other. You can never fully know something without knowing its opposite.

Whenever you create a dream, the universe will bring in opposing circumstances, not to deter you from achieving the dream, but to allow you to experience the fullness of that dream. If you set a goal to be abundant, you may start experiencing situations of lack. This is so that you will be able to experience what abundance really means, and to show the world that you really can make it into being abundant even against the appearance of lack.
Forever at the Lotus Feet of Sri Amma Bhagavan,

Practical Steps to Increase your Success Consciousness

Practical Steps to Increase your Success Consciousness
In terms of success, background and education are not deciding factors. Your ability to continuously focus your mind on positive thoughts, however, is the key factor for success. By positive thoughts we mean a focus on what you'd like to achieve rather than what you can't see or don't have in your life.

There are several powerful techniques that you can use immediately as you embark on your journey of having positive thinking patterns guide you to whatever it is you want to achieve. The effectiveness of these techniques depends on continuous and repetitive exposure to positive messages that trigger positive thoughts.
Create a positive environment

First of all, it is important that you create a positive work and home environment. What are the areas where you spend most of your time during the day? Is it an office, a kitchen, a study, a factory etc.? Is the environment where you spend a lot of your time a motivating place filled with positive messages? Does it inspire you to be creative and have positive thoughts?
For example, if you spend most of your day in an office in front of a computer, install inspiring screensavers or desktop backgrounds. Decorate your walls with inspiring pictures. Have pictures of significant and successful moments on your desk. All these "things" around you affect your thoughts. Make sure that the places you spend most of your time trigger positive thoughts. Once you've established a positive environment, you'll see these your positive messages on a continuous and repetitive basis.

Expose Yourself to Positive and Inspiring Information

A lot has been written about the effects of our thinking on our life. By now many people know that in some way or another, their thinking affects their life. We hear things like: "Think positive. As you think, so shall you be. You can choose to see the glass half empty or half full". Does this sound familiar? And yet, how many people, maybe including yourself, have you encountered who you would truly classify as "positive thinkers"? Probably not too many, right? As soon as we get up in the morning we usually get busy doing things and let our thoughts flow freely as the day unfolds. The amount of information our brain processes in a day is unbelievable. Therefore, it is not easy to constantly monitor our thoughts and make sure they are always positive. We can make a true difference, however, when we consciously chose to expose ourselves to positive, inspiring and uplifting information. Minimize the time you spend processing negative information. Ask yourself what kind of books are you reading, or what kind of programs are you watching on TV. Are they inspiring, encouraging and positive, or do they expose you to information that decreases your energy level?

Affirmations

Affirmations are a wonderful and effective tool to focus your mind on positive thoughts. The best way to use affirmations is to write down what you want to achieve. The important thing is that you write it in the first person, present tense as if it had already taken place. For example: "I am earning $ 50,000. I live in a red two story brick house with an ocean view from my bedroom window." Be as specific as you can in your description. Read your affirmation(s) several times a day.

Visualization

This technique is often used by athletes. It's all about seeing yourself succeeding. Visualization is most effective if you define a few moments each day where you can be at a quiet place without distractions. As you close your eyes, you visualize what it's like to see your goal fulfilled. As you do this ask yourself "What does it look like, how do I feel about it, what does it smell like etc.?" It is like a movie sequence that you keep playing and refining in your mind until it becomes and feels real. Repeat this exercise several times each day.

Affirmations combined with Visualization

The combination of both affirmation and visualization is an extremely strong tool. If you can both say your affirmations to yourself and visualize the achievement of your affirmation at the same time you actually multiply the effectiveness of both tools.

Success Conversations

Each day many of us spend a fair amount of time in transit from place A to B and back. Think about all the time you either spend in your car or public transportation on your way to work and back, the time you invest taking your children to school and back etc. You may want to use this time constructively to increase your success consciousness by having "success conversations" with yourself. You can do this by imagining a situation where you've already achieved your goal and now tell others about it. Say your goal was to lose 20 pounds and be in great physical shape. Your conversation then could be "You know Mary, I just decided to lose 20 pounds and work out on a regular basis and it really didn't take me too long to reach that goal. I now just feel like a new person and get so many compliments on my achievement." Be creative in your success conversations. If your goal is to start your own business, imagine yourself talking to your employees about the stellar results your company just achieved, or see yourself giving an interview to a business news reporter about the success of your company. "Success conversations" is a very powerful in focusing your mind on success. Again, the key is continuity and repetition.

Prayers

Whatever your faith of spiritual orientation may be, prayers are excellent and proven means to materialize your goals. By praying we are asking our creator for help in achieving our objectives. Praying is most effective because it is often connected with a strong faith or belief system. The actual belief in that "As you ask, you shall receive" will drive our thinking patterns and actions to the realization of our goals. Since many people pray each day before they go to bed, it is easy to establish a daily routine.

Talk to your subconscious mind

Whichever of the above tool, or combination of tools, you chose to apply, from a timing perspective we strongly suggest that you also apply it / them right after you wake up and before you go to sleep. Many studies have proven that our subconscious mind is very receptive when we start relaxing before we fall asleep and right after we wake up in the morning. An interesting fact about our subconscious mind is that it unconditionally "believes" whatever we tell it. It is like a little machine in the background that just executes commands without questioning them. Therefore, if we succeed in reaching our subconscious mind with continuous, positive and constructive commands, it will automatically start executing and focus on the materialization of our goals.

Take Action

Last but not least it is incredibly important that we start taking action toward our goals. Often times we simply think that our goals are so out of reach that we don't even know where and how to start which then can lead to not taking any action at all. The good news is that it doesn't really matter how big our goals are. The simple fact that we take action, no matter how small, sends a very strong signal that we are actually in the process of realizing our goal. In other words, we are already moving in the direction of that goal. Remember "Every journey starts with one single step" - Confucius. Let' assume that you'd like to be independent and start your own business. This may appear to be a rather daunting task. However, even if you just start researching about the market, or take a business class at your community college, or think about a name for your business, there are always small but achievable steps where you can take action toward your goal. Remember, the "size" of your action does not matter. What matters most is that you do take action.

Take Decision Taking decision is most important tool. You should take a firm decision that you will put your efforts to become successful and you will put your attention towards success.

Overcoming Deep Rooted Negative Beliefs

There are times when faced with a focused problem involving two contradicting believes, despite your efforts to eliminate the negative one, you can’t seem to succeed because there is a sense of ‘wrongness’ to question the justification of that belief.

You understand that to move on you must overcome it but you can’t seem to do so because it has always been in your experience of reality. You try focusing on the positive belief only but at the mean time the negative emerges into your awareness too. So how to remove such a deep-rooted belief?

The presence of conflicting beliefs doesn’t necessarily stop you from achieving success. In the event of conflicting beliefs, the stronger ones will always override the weaker ones. It is your dominant beliefs that have the true authority over your reality creation.Just watch at the negative one very closely without condeming.Only listening carefully to your inner disturbances can take you there and only Amma Bhagavan can help you in reaching there. So ask them to take you there.

You may not be able to get rid of the negative beliefs completely immediately and you don’t have to. Change happens over time. What matters is which are the thoughts you hold in your mind more consistently than the rest. Ultimately it is all a matter of focus.

All you need to do is that you have to focus on positive belief while watching carefully the negative belief without fighting with it.

Top 5 Steps for Building Wealth Consciousness

om sat chid ananda parabhrama purusothama paramathma sri bhagavathi sametha sri bhagavatha namahaa, Below are the top 5 steps. These steps may be posting again, but for new-comers reposting again.

(1) Eradicate Your Limiting Beliefs About Money

Some people scorn at the mere mention of money. How many times have you heard people say “Oh, I’m not doing this for the money” or “Money isn’t everything.” Well, they’re not wrong. The fact is money in itself has no absolute value. It’s the things that money can buy when in circulation that makes it valuable. It can buy material possessions yet at the same time, if you look from a different angle, once you’ve got enough of it to be financially free, it can literally buy you off from laborious work to spend more precious moments with family. You can also contribute it to charity and benefit the less priviledged.

On the other end of the scale, some people tend to overvalue the importance of money so much so that they become slaves to it. They loved money and let this passion cause their downfall.

In essence, if you never come to terms what money can bring forth into your life (i.e its value), your uneasiness with the “idea” of money will limit your ability to attract more of it. To put it simply, just imagine this, would you go into a car showroom if you’ve never had the intention to purchase a car? You may not want to buy it now, but the fact that you walked into the showroom implies that you appreciate the value of what a car brings. It can serve as a means of transport for you and your family. Or, if it’s a luxurious car, it may bring you the associated prestige with owning it in the first place. Because of your perceived value tagged to owning a car, you’ll find means and ways to get one. Likewise with money.

Remember, you can’t desire something that you’re not in resonnance with.

Therefore, it becomes imperative that before you learn about other steps to hone this wealthy mindset, you should start having a conversation with yourself to remove the beliefs that’s limiting you about money. You can make use of the following exercise to help you with this.

a) Write down the limiting beliefs

- I shouldn’t earn more than what my husband is bringing home
- Rich people don’t care about the poor”

b) Ask yourself power questions to trigger a refreshed view about money
- If money is not an issue an all, what will be the positive things that you can do for your family and community?
- Out the things that you would like to do, which one ties in closely with your personal values and goals?
- What are the reasons you aren’t rich yet?

c) Tease your original limiting beliefs to create new affirmative statements

- My husband will be delighted to know I’m earning more than him because we’ll have more income to go for family holidays with the kids
- Selfish rich people may not care about the poor but I know I’m not.

d) Pick the most sensational one and repeat it everyday

(2) Decide You Want to Be Wealthy & Justify Why

Everyone has the right to be wealthy. Yet, most of us allow a temporary lack of money eat into our minds, literally confining us into the vicious cycle of poverty. One of the colloary of the Law of Abundance states “People are poor because they have not yet decided to be rich”. So long as you manage a conscious decision to become wealthy and have utmost faith that you can achieve it, you act accordingly to what you believe. Say “Yes” to getting wealthy today! And say it with conviction.

Deciding to be wealthy only gets you started on the quest but what sustains you throughout the journey is the why. What is the reason that you want an extra $1 million into your bank account? Why do you want to work your butt off, sacrificing your weekends to man your business? Where can you seek inspiration if the going gets tough and you’ll feel disheartened? Yes, it’s all in the why. If you do not have a burning desire supporting your decision, you’ll find your motivation waning sooner that you think you can last.

Take a piece of paper and scribble down all the reasons that you can think of. Maybe you’ll like to retire earlier and travel around the world? Or you can quit your job and be a full time parent? Etc etc.

Needless to say, the one that resonates with the deepest part of your heart should be written on a index card to remind you of your bottomline.

(3) Determine How Much Do You Want

How much you want will inadvertently determine the action that you’ll need to set forth to reach it. For example, if it’s $2,000 per month that you’re looking for, working in your existing job might suffice. However, if $100,000 per month is what you intend to achieve, other alternatives such as starting your own business, investing in properties or working on your skills to get a better paying job may be more effective. More importantly, knowing how much you want prepares your mind for the potential issues you may face and keep it upbeat.

The challenge therefore becomes, how do you know how much you want? It’s tempting to arbitrarily quote a figure but this will probably do you more harm than good. If the amount is much higher than what you want, your approach to acquire the wealth may be too drastic within the same timeframe. And you may end up burning yourself out. In the event that the amount is lesser than what you need, you’ll probably have to delay your gratification longer than you expect.

Determining how much you want need not be rocket science. You can do this by taking into consideration the objective for which you want the wealth for and do a high level analysis of the costs necessary to sustain it. Say if your reason is to provide your family with a comfortable lifestyle, you can include the costs of travelling overseas for holiday twice a year into your analysis. Continuously review this list of costs to ensure that you’ve got most if not all covered.

(4) Brainstorm On How to Get There

A lot of people think having a wealthy mindset involves only constantly thinking about getting rich. It’s only part of the equation. Brainstorming on how to get there is another important element that actually exposes the mind on the many possibilities.

Suppose you want to get from point A to point B, there’s route 1, route 2, 3 all the way to n (i.e. infinity). When you’re planning how to get there, the mind starts considering the many options and may prompt you to act on one of them. Along the way, your wealthy mindset may attract different opportunities, encouraging you to change course and go through a totally somewhat exhilarating experience.

Here is a classical example of a man who became rich. Initially, his plan was to market his own music compositions through the internet. But incidentally, he stumbled on online internet marketing and embarked on a unconventional route to becoming a internet millionaire. It was not an easy route as he had to juggle learning about the new knowledge and a full-time job. But his burning desire to be rich and financially free got him through the hurdle to get him to where he is today.Only the process of learning by acquiring the relevant information helped him to get there.

(5) Imagine As If You Already Have It

That before you physically acquire the wealth that you’ve envisioned, you need to live it as if you’ve possess the amount of money that you desire! Since the subconscious mind is unable to differentiate between actual possession and mere visualization, by imagining that you already have it, you’re encouraging your subconscious mind to seek ways to transform your imaginary feelings into the real thing.

I know many people refute this step thinking that it’s impractical. But if you think about it, isn’t everything around us a true manifestation of someone else’s imagination? The Wright brothers imagined being able to fly and the reality is, we’re now able to fly in an aeroplane from 1 country to another in a matter of hours and sometimes, even minutes. Thomas Edison imagined lighting the whole room using a single source and as a result, the lightbulb was invented! Christopher Columbus imagined a new world and found the American continent. And many many more.

It’s a fact that without the imagination of these great visionaries, we’ll not be able to enjoy many of their discoveries. At a micro level, you too possess the same capability to create, improve your own destiny by constructing it in your mind. Brian Tracy said it best in his statement, “All improvement in your life begins in the improvement in your mental pictures”.

Contemplative Questions

Here is a set of questions that would provoke you and put you through some soul searching. They are not about religion nor about ethics. They are merely about you.

They are not meant to serve as solutions nor are they meant to lead you anywhere. These questions are meant to serve as tools to discovering yourself.

1) Do you perceive the Presence of a benevolent force guiding, protecting and shaping your life? What name do you give that Presence? When did you best feel this Presence?

2) What is your opinion of God? Is your opinion drawn from religion, books, parents and or your personal experience of life?

3) Do you pray? Do they get answered? How often?

4) Do you think it is possible to relate to the Divine? What relationship would you opt?

5) Here is a story for you - Two fierce enemies once did a penance to placate god and receive boons vying with each other. God appeared to the first man and asked what he wanted. He said "give me twice of whatever you give my enemy". Then God appeared to the second one. Even before God could say anything he asked, "God, would you please tell me what my enemy asked for? On knowing his prayer request, he said, "then God, blind me in one eye."
Now what would you wish for yourself, your best friend and your worst enemy if God gave you a chance?

6) Have you ever experienced a coincidence or chance that seems to have involved so many people and factors that you can't stop wondering if a mastermind was behind this operation? If yes, do you savour the experience often and have you shared it with someone close to you?
